Decorating my Sketchbook Cover

Hey There!

I love drawing – it’s one of my favorite hobbies. I go through sketchbooks super quickly due to all the time spent sketching! 😉 Sometimes I will pull out my sketchbook, but the boring cover does not inspire me at all! I have decorated some old sketchbooks in the past, but haven’t done it in a while. I just recently got a brand-new sketchbook, and decided that before I fill it up too much, I will decorate it to make me happy. ❤

I love bright colors and happy vibes! Glitter, neon yarn, and scrapbook paper are just a few of the materials I used. I am extremely pleased with how my new and improved sketchbook turned out! If you are an artist, I encourage you to decorate your sketchbook in a way that is completely your own! Try recycling small things to add to the front – I used some soda tabs! I hope my sketchbook will inspire you to be artistic and have fun! 😀

I added some glitter onto the back to make it a little more interesting than just plain cardboard. 😉

Chocolate Butterfly Cake

Hi There!

I love spring and summer. There is something so happy about the warm weather! All of the animals and insects are singing, and butterflies are flying around. I was inspired by them to make a butterfly cake! 😉 

I used my Favorite Chocolate Cake Recipe, and it is foolproof. Every time I make it, I love it! ❤  This chocolate cake tastes wonderful with cream cheese icing – which is usually what I make to go with it. My preferred Cream Cheese Icing Recipe happens to be paired up with a pumpkin cupcake recipe (which is delicious, if I might add 😉 ). I simply omitted the cinnamon in the recipe, and it works wonderfully.

My puppies had a great time taste-testing the icing, too! 😉

I am very happy with how this cake turned out, and love the decorations inspired by God’s creations. ❤
